NEW CAR, NEW ADVENTURES

Bye-bye, Escape! Hello, Elantra!

Yep, I did it - I bought a new car.

I finally turned in my car of 8 years in. Sadly, she had to go! I loved having a bigger car, but I am ready to go back to something that will save on gas money because momma needs the extra dollars for coffee.

It is definitely going to be odd not being in my Ford Escape, but I have been planning this trade for the past few weeks. It may not be a big deal to some, but it is to me. The two cars I have ever owned were passed down in the family but this time, I can FINALLY say I bought my first car with my own money.

It is a HUGE accomplishment for me.

She's nothing fancy but she will get me across the map which is what I need because great things are happening after graduation, and I am so excited!

The one thing that drew my attention in was the interior of the car - beige and black interior? Yes, please! I did look at other cars - Noah even scoped out a Tesla (which was a definite no, only because I am on a budget). It amazes me how much he already knew about the car and where each setting was. Funny story - the salesman said there were girls who locked themselves in it the week before. I could not even imagine getting stuck in an electrical car - and I did not see manual locks. That would freak me out! On another note, Noah is ready to go car shopping - he's 11!

But overall, today was an exciting day for me and little man. I am glad he gets to be by my side and experience this with me.

Now we just need to plan our cross-country trip or even, a day trip. I wonder where we will go first but either way, I am ready to trek! Stay tuned to see where we end up - I see the west coast in our near future.

With love,

CT
