Since I have decided to re-vamp my blog, I have noticed new faces - and I thought what better way to get to know me a bit better than to do some random facts about myself. And please, feel free to tell me some things about yourself in the comments - one thing I love is meeting new people, so let's get to know each other!
"Goonies never say die!"
One of my favorite movies (if you could not tell by the photo) is The Goonies. My other favorites are The Breakfast Club and the Harry Potter Series, my favorite is the Half-Blood Prince.
I am about to be an ETSU college graduate - GO BUCS! I am graduating with my B.B.A. in Marketing with a double minor - Digital Marketing and Management. For someone who became pregnant at a young age, this is a HUGE accomplishment for me. I will be graduating from college at 29 years old but there is nothing wrong with that! Plus, I will have my son beside me on my special day!
Speaking of which, I am a mother to an ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD! I don't see how that is possible but I am. Time really needs to slow down.
I have an addiction - to coffee! I used to only like iced coffee but now I drink hot coffee as well. I love stopping into little cafes or bistros. If I do not have my coffee, it will definitely show.
Taylor is not my last name. Many people mistake my middle name for my last name because I use it so often but - surprise, it is not my last name!
My boyfriend is my best friend. The fact that I can finally be myself without judgment speaks wonders (because I am a bit of a weirdo).
I have a high gluten intolerance. Of all things to be allergic to? GLUTEN!? I found out at the beginning of 2022 that I had a high intolerance to gluten. The one thing that is in almost everything I love! And I live in the south - do you know how hard it is to stay away from biscuits and gravy, French toast.... PASTA! I have obviously done much better with staying away from gluten and I feel so much cleaner and less irritable but at the same time, the cravings get to me! Gluten-free foods aren't that bad, but it is something to get used to!
Once again, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. House Slytherin over here - (not all Slytherins are bad).
I have had a total of 7 brain surgeries to this date! Unfortunately, I will have more in the future.
I absolutely despise gummies. The consistency just makes me uncomfortable. Call me weird but no!
I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. When I decided to pursue my degree in a field, I was pretty confident in, I wanted to make sure I went above and beyond with my education. My hard work led me to being accepted into this society and I have met some awesome people along the way!
I fear confined spaces. Ironic enough, I have conquered that fear a few times, but I still cannot stand to be in a crowded area or under anything that could possibly crush or entrap me.
Totally cliche but I do believe 'that everything happens for a reason'. I sometimes never understand why certain things happen, but it usually turns out and makes sense later on.
You will probably see me photograph myself with murals or artwork when I am out. Something about murals catches my attention. I find them fascinating!
I live in Northeast Tennessee - and I am ready to move! I have lived in Northeast Tennessee for the majority of my life, and I am ready to venture far from here. In the future - I plan to be on the west coast. Fingers crossed!
I was diagnosed with three neuro disorders in 2012 - Hydrocephalus, Chiari Malformation, and Epilepsy.
I have always wanted to experience van life. I have seen many people convert buses, vans, and even their cars into their own homes. I love to camp and travel so I think this would be something fun to experience one day.
I have a dog - Harley and two cats - Binx and Beckham. After the situation that ended in 2019, I adopted a few fur babies to aid with my recovery process. Harley is my designated Emotional Support Animal while Binx and Beckham are my son's designated Emotional Support Animal.
I changed my major four times before sticking to the one I wanted to graduate with.
My mom is my partner in crime. The one person who has constantly been by my side through the good, the bad, and the ugly. She helped me overcome the biggest obstacle of my life and has pushed me to keep going, even when I wanted to throw in the towel. Thanks, mom!
Believe it or not, I was not as outgoing as I am today. I used to be the quiet shy kid growing up. I think my career in marketing and sales helped with that due to talking to different people all the time.
I was born in Charleston, South Carolina - but I prefer the mountains over the beach.
I have two younger brothers - Jonathon and Conor. Those two mean the world to me - but don't let them know that. Big sisters can't show any signs of weakness.
I consider myself to be a 'girly tomboy'. I ride dirt bikes from time to time, go out to play football with my son and enjoy video games with the boys but from time to time, I do like to step out into the world and look my best. Pedis are a must! (Especially, if you are a hiker like me. YIKES!)
If it wasn't obvious already - I love to chase waterfalls!
Always in Wanderlust.
Conquered my fear of confined spaces by crawling in a cave.
My son, Noah and boyfriend, Josh.
Told ya, huge HP nerd - I even have my own Slytherin robe and wand.
90% of the time I will choose a hike that leads to a waterfall.
And there you have it! I always see influencers posting random facts about themselves so I thought I would do a fun little post as well. Hopefully, I didn't bore any of you but now you know a little more about me. If you'd like, feel free to share something about yourself!
With love,
CT
